Imam Hussain (ع)

Imam Hussain ibne Ali (A.S) الحسين ابن علي ابن أبي طالب‎‎‎ the grandson of Holy Prophet (sws) was a 7th century holy Imam of the Muslim World and leader of Paradise who ultimately sacrificed his life along with his family members to safeguard humanity and global justice against tyranny and cruelty. Imam was demanded to pay his allegiance to a corrupt ruler, Imam refused and said “A man like me can never give allegiance to a man like him” and left to Kufa with his family and companions as he did not want bloodshed in the holy cities of Makkah and Madinah.

On the way to Kufa his family and companions were forced to stop by a large army which stopped water supply and brutally killed Imam Hussain’s (ع) his family and companions. Imam sacrificed everything, including his life, his family to safeguard Islam and stood by his values and principles till his martyrdom.

قُلْ لَّاۤ اَسۡـَٔـــلُـكُمۡ عَلَيۡهِ اَجۡرًا اِلَّا الۡمَوَدَّةَ فِى الۡقُرۡبٰى‌ؕ "Allah says in the Holy Quran (O Messenger!) inform your people that you do not expect any remuneration for your Prophet hood except that you should love your near relatives".(Surah Shura 42:23).

Regarding the verse (42:23) Ali bin Husain (ع) and Saeed bin Jubair, Amr bin Shuaib, Imam Baqir and Imam Sadiq (ع) and also a group have been quoted and in Shawahidut Tanzil, Ibne Abbas is quoted that when this verse was revealed the companions asked: O Messenger of Allah! who are the people whom we have been commanded to love? The holy Prophet (sws) replied: They are (Ahlulbayt (ع)) Imam Ali, Bibi Fathema, Imam Hasan and Imam Hussain (ع).

World's largest Peaceful gathering

The Karbala (Arba'een Pilgrimage) is the world's largest public gatheringthat is held every year. This Ziyarath is held at the end of the 40-day mourning period following Ashura where Hussain ibn Ali's (ع) was killed and beheaded by the army of Yazid.

The religious ritual for the commemoration of the Holy Prophet Mohammad (sws)'s grandson Hussain ibne Ali's (ع) death in 680. Arba'een marks a "pivotal event in history" in which the pilgrims make their journey to Karbala on foot. Some of the pilgrims make their journey from cities as far as Basra, about 500 km away by road.

Every year, millions of gatherers travel to Hussain ibne Ali’s (ع) shrine in Karbala, Iraq during Arba’een. This number has only risen as time has passed. 10 to 14 million people visited on Arba’een in 2009 and 2010; 15 to 18 million visited in 2012 and January 2013. The largest crowd yet. According to the al-Khoei Foundation, an estimated 22 million pilgrims are expected to attended in 2016, this is a 10 percent increase on last year, when 20 million pilgrims reached Karbala for the ceremony.

May Allah (swt) the Almighty grant all the Pilgrim’s acceptance and grant all of us the opportunity to visit the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussain (ع) again and again.

حسين مني وأنا من حسين Hussain O Minni Wana Minal Hussain Hadith.The Messenger of Allah said: "Hussain is from me and I am from Hussain.

من مات علی حب آل محمد (صلی الله علیه و آله و سلم) مات شهیدا Man Mata Ala Hubbe Aale Mohammadin Faqad Mata Shaheeda. One who dies in love of progeny of Mohammad (sawas) dies a martyr

الحسن والحسين سيدا شباب أهل الجنة ، وفاطمة سيدة نسائهم The Messenger of Allah said: "Al-Hasan and Hussain are the chiefs of the youth of Paradise and Fatimah is the chief of their women."

The Prophet(sws) looked toward ‘Ali, Hasan, Hussain, and Fatimah (a.s), and then said: "I am in war with those who will fight you, and in peace with those who are peaceful to you."

The Messenger of Allah said: "He who loves al-Hasan and Hussain, loved me, and he who makes them angry has made me angry."

He Prophet (sws) Crying For Imam Hussain. Narrated Salma: “I went to visit Umm Salamah and found her weeping. I asked her what was making her weep and she replied that she had seen Allah (swt)’s Messenger (sws) (meaning in a dream) with dust on his head and beard. She asked him what was the matter and he replied, `I have just been present at the slaying of Hussain (ع).

Aisha narrated: The Prophet (sws) said: "Gabriel informed me that my grandson al- Hussain (as) will be killed after me in the land of al-Taff and brought me this Turbah (mudd/soil) and informed me that this is the soil of the place he will be martyred."

Um Salama (the wife of Prophet(sws) said: I heard the Jinns (the unseen creatures) mourning for Hussain."

When the Holy Prophet (sws) informed Lady Fatimah of the Martyrdom in store for his grandson, she burst into tears as asked "O my father! When would my son be martyred? "In such a critical moment” replied the Holy Prophet, "when neither I nor you, nor ‘Ali would be alive. This accentuated her grief and she inquired again, Who then, O my father, would commemorate.

Shah Ast Hussain (ع), Badshah Ast Hussain (ع) Deen Ast Hussain (ع), Deen Panah Ast Hussain (ع) Sar Daad, Na Daad Dast, Dar Dast-E-Yazeed Haqaa Key Binaey La Ila Ast Hussain (ع).(Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti Ajmeri).

English Translation: Husain (ع) is Shah (spiritual leader), Husain is Badshah (the administrative leader or the king) of this world. Husain is himself "religion" and also the one who gave shelter to the religion. He preferred to give his head but not his hand to Yazeed. Yaad e Hussain Org Founder

Mir Jafar Ali Al Baqary hails from a Syed family, he was born and brought up in Southern India where he studied LLB and commenced working for Indian Federal Government. Since childhood Jafar Ali’s interest in Islamic history was evident, as a youngster, he used to recite Marsiya from the collection of Mir Annes and other great poets, he then soon started to host and recite Majalis in Vijayawada, AP, India where the Shia community was just started to evolve.

In the year 1991 Mir Jafar Ali started Majlis e Yaad e Hussain program following the footsteps of Janab e Bibi Zainab (ع) with the intention to spread the message of Imam Hussain (ع). Jafar Ali describes that the journey so far has given him immense pleasure, he would like to thank each and every one who has attended Yaade Hussain and made every program a success in India and overseas.

Over the last 30 years Jafar Ali made alliances with Scholars from Sunni Jamat, Ahl e Sunnat, Alhl e Hadis to name a few and other religious scholars and debated on the importance of Imam Hussain’s sacrifice is not only precious to the people of Islam but to the whole of humanity. The wide attendance of people from various school of thoughts, MLAs, MPs of all major political parties and people of various religions is evident that Yaade Hussain is a program that brings everyone together on one platform.

Masha Allah, Majlis e Yaad e Hussain program has expanded its horizons not only in India but in the year 2017 Mir Jafar Ali organised Majlis e Yaad e Hussain in the holy cities of Makkah and Madinah. This Majlis has made its benchmark in many cities of South India that includes Vijayawada, Guntur, Kondapalli and other cities.
